# Getting Started

### Accessing and Logging into AlphaX IoT

You can access the  platform via this [URL ](https://app.alphax.cloud/)in a web browser. The URL will direct you to the login page.

1. Enter your email address.
2. Enter your password.

Email address and password are case-sensitive. Make sure to enter them correctly.

### Forgot password

If you forgot your password, click the **Forgot your password** link and enter your email address. You will receive an email with a link to reset your password.

### Supported Browser

* Microsoft Edge latest Chromium-based version)
* Mozilla Firefox (latest Extended Support Release \[1])
* Google Chrome (2)
* Internet Explorer 11 (3)

### Homepage Main Elements

The system will take you to the homepage after you sign in. The following are the primary elements of the homepage.

This element allows you to collapse or expand the menu.</td></tr><tr><td>User's Name and Role</td><td>Located below the logo. This shows the user's name and assigned role.</td></tr><tr><td>Homepage</td><td>Located in the upper right of the screen. This element provides users easy access to the main page.</td></tr><tr><td>Create Support Request</td><td>Located next to the homepage. This element allows users to request support or send report on the following features: Hardware, Bugs Reports, Technical Issues, How Tos, and Feature Request.</td></tr><tr><td>Set System Refresh Rate</td><td>Located next to create support request. This element allows users to set the system's refresh rate.</td></tr><tr><td>Profile</td><td>Located in the upper rightmost of the homepage. The profile allows users to view and edit their credentials. This is also where you sign out.</td></tr></tbody></table>

#### Creating Support Request

1. Select **Request Type**.
2. Add a detailed description of the request.
3. Click **Send**.

#### Set System Refresh Rate

1. Choose your preferred refresh rate.

You can choose **Disabled** to turn off the system's refresh rate. If you select another option than **Disabled**, a green check will appear next to the system refresh rate.

#### User's Profile

To view and update your profile:

1. Click the drop-down menu.
2. Select Profile.
3. You will be redirected to your profile page and update your credentials.

On the Profile page, you can update the following:

* **Avatar -**  Choose your avatar or profile photo by clicking **choose file**.
* **Email Address -** Enter the email address you prefer to use.
* **Mobile Number -**  Enter the phone number you prefer to register.
* **Enable dark mode -** You can select this option if you prefer dark mode.
* **Timezone -** Select the time zone in your area.
* **Layout -** Select Standard for layout.
* **Slidebar -** You can select between collapsed or opened.
