Creating New Filter

To add a new filter, click New Workspace at the topmost left on the All Sensors Page.

Fill in the information required to complete the enrolment of a new filter.

Filter Name - Fill in the name of the filter according to your choice and it will be shown in the menu bar under the category workforce.

Filter By - It is mandatory to fill in the "Filter By" box. When you click on the box "Filter By", a list of filters will pop up. You need to select filter/s according to your requirement and corresponding new fields will pop up that you will need to fill in according to what they ask for.

For instance, If you select the sensor value as a filter, you will get two fields that you need to fill in which are operators* and sensor value. In the following table, you can have a look at all the filters and their respective fields that we need to fill in if we include that in our filter.

General	Select Single Sites	Site *	Select that hierarchy for the filtering to which your required devices are assigned.
Sensor	Sensor Description	Sensor Description*	Provide some description of the sensor so that it makes it easy to filter those sensors
	Sensor Value	Operators* & Sensor Value	For operator, there are three values (<,=,>). Select one according to your requirement. Fill in the sensor value
	Sensor Type	Sensor Type	There is a long list of sensor types. Select Sensor/s from the list that you want to filter.
Device	Device Name	Device Name*	Fill in the name of your device
	Device Tag	Device Tag *	Fill in the device tag
	Device category	Device category*	Select the type of devices that you want to filter
	Device Status	Device Status	There are a number of states for the device such as active, missing, deactivated, and so on. Whether to want to filter only those devices which are active or missing, or you want both in your filter list, choose it according to your requirement
	Device Network Type	Network Type*	One device has a unique network ID. Choose the network type/types according to your requirement
	Device Power Source	Power Source*	There are a number of power sources, for instance, some sensor works using the battery, and some work by using solar energy
	Device Model	Device Model*	There are a selection of the number of models. You can select model/s according to the requirement for the filter.
	Device Supplier	Device Supplier*	You are two device suppliers (Iot Store, Minnovation). You can select either one supplier or both according to the filter requirement.
	Device Manufacturer	Device Manufacturer*	When you click in the field of device manufacturer, you will get a list of manufacturers. Select as many as you require for the filtering.

It is required to fill in all those fields which have a * mark if you select that field for the filtering.

Once you create the new filter, you can check it on the left-hand side of the AlphaX Cloud in the menu bar below the tab All Sensors under the module Workspace.👍

You can delete this new filter by clicking on button.
