Device Categories

Users can use this option of the attribute. Please check your user privileges with your system administrator if you can not see this option.

There are a number of types of devices such as Gateway, GPS Tracker, Device, and so on. When you use this attribute, the device category you added will appear on the list page of the Device Categories where you will see the following information.

• Site - It is the name of the entity to which you assign the specific device type.

• Name - It is the name of the device category.

Clicking on any column title (Site and Name) sort by that column 👍

You can edit the detail of a device type by clicking on the editing button .

You can delete a device category by clicking on the delete button.

Navigating Device Categories

If there is a long list of device types, then this list is converted into the number of pages. You can go to these pages by clicking on the respective button . You can go to the next page of the device type by clicking on the next button or can go to the previous page by clicking on the previous button . These buttons are available at the bottom right of each listing page of device categories.

Filtering Device Categories

You can go to the search engine and search for a network type from those available in the current list. The search will apply to text in any of the following columns:

• Site

• Name

You can maximize the device category page of attributes to full screen by clicking on the button which is next to the searching engine and can also leave the full screen by clicking again on the same button.
