To update the virtual channel information:
Click on the editing button on the right side of the virtual channel list page.
Update all the information i.e.,
Channel Name* - You can edit the name of the channel.
Channel Description* - In this field, you can edit the description of the channel.
Entity* - You can change the entity of the virtual channel by using this field. By clicking on the drop down arrow, you will get the list of entities. Select one, according to your requirement.
Tag* - Create a tag for this particular channel to distinguish it from other channels.
Sensor Type* - By clicking on this field, you will get the list of sensor types. Select one, according to the requirement.
A trigger is an event that allows a sensor to start a measurement cycle.
Edit Button - There is an edit button. By using it, you can edit the list of sensors.
Select Sensor - By clicking on this field, you will get the list of sensors. Filter out the sensor/s for trigger by typing in the name of the corresponding sensor/s.
Close - Once you edit the sensors for triggering, click on the close button and go to the next step.
By using this tab, you can perform the calculations.
Operation (Add, Subtract, Multiply, Divide) - Four operations are available here. Choose one that you want to apply, to the values according to the requirement.
Aggregation - You can aggregate values either by the sum or average.
Source Type - When you click on this tab, you will get two source types, one is Sensor and the other is Static Value. When you go with the sensor option, then you have to select one from the list of options available. And when you go with the Static Value option, you have to give a value by typing and you can also increase or decrease values with the arrows present at the end of the input area.
If you want to add more action, you can simply click on the + button which is below the close button. Once you are done, close the action by clicking on close.
Location Sensor* - When you click on this field, you will get the list of sensors. By typing here, you can filter the location of your sensor. Note that this is a mandatory field and it should be filled in order to select the sensor.
Latitude - Fill in the latitude value of the sensor location if required.
Longitude - Fill in the longitude value of the sensor location if required.
Map - With the help of this tab, you can check the location of the sensor on the map useful for finding the new location, if it has to be changed.
You can also move the map screen around by pressing and hovering with left button of the mouse.
By using this tab, you can get the list of all the data values shown by the selected virtual channel in the last 24 hours. When you click on the tab, you will see the following information.
Timestamp - It is the date and time of the virtual channel.
Value - It is the value in seconds, shown by the virtual channel.
You can export this list in various formats such as PDF, Excel and CSV and also copy the content and print that page by clicking on the respective buttons, available at the top left of the list page.
You can search for a value from those available in the current list. The filter will be applied to the text in all the columns.
By using this tab, you can check the detail of all the actions that were taken by the user for updating the virtual channel. When you click on this tab, you will see the following information on the list page.
Timestamp - It displays the date and time when the updating occurred.
Event - It gives the name of the task performed by the user.
Value - It gives the value added by the user.
User - In this column, you can see the name of the user who performed this action.
You can export this list in various formats such as PDF, Excel, CSV and also you can Copy the content and Print the page by using the respective buttons available at the top left of the page.
You can search for a value from those available in the current list. The filter will be applied to the text in all the columns.
Channel Notes- If you want to write any information to other users, related to the virtual channel, you can use this editor.
You can either see the sensor's location with the Map format or with the Satellite imagery format by using its respective buttons, located on the top left of the map. You can zoom in and out of the screen by using the + and - buttons available on the bottom right of the map. You can maximize the map to full screen by clicking on the button.
